I personally think it's ridiculously expensive for only 40 page book. I wouldn't order. So I don't expect you to order. But if you would, I appreciate it. ;P

Happy new year
Happy new years.
I no longer belong to Virago.( Female artist group in Flying Monkey.)
I am going to have my own space ( still in the mill) soon. ( sometime February)
So I am not going to keep this Lj. I haven't decided if I would make another Lj. I wish I could change the Lj name.

Open House
I couldn’t decide if I’d do open studio this Artist Market which is the 3rd annual Solstice Open house.
My studio in the Virago is not open to public usually. My studio is too much mess. But some people are pushing themselves very hard to do more fun stuff, I thought I should do some thing too.
So my studio will be open to public today 11a.m.-5 p.m. and next Saturday( 22nd). Omg, I spent days to clean up and display works in my little area.

The color looks funny. All the scanning, watermarking and uploading changes color each times. I can't help.
I'll be at Monte Sano Art Show this Saturday. it's 9 a.m.-5p.m. Free for public. So I won't be at Artist Market.

I considered this Lj my art journal, not my personal journal. I didn't want to 'write' anything. But this time, I'd like to write something about this new painting which I thought I finished on Saturday.
I was proud of it, and took a pic, uploaded, and saw it on screen. I was VERY disappointed. I found many things WRONG. Too many things. So tomorrow, I will fix them. But it'll be difficult. I painted this from a picture. ( The place is not a comfortable place to sit down and sketch. Usually there are too many cars.) I drew idiotic grid lines, and literally, copied. Still, I couldn't make the perspective and stuff right. I know this building is standing on a hill. Also, the angle is not straight which I did it on purpose. I should have taken picture just straight front. So I think I tried too hard subject.
Btw, I've been attracted by doors in town. I've painted 'The door at round house' , '102 Clinton(this one)' 'The Door at First united methodist church' and the door at Times Building is on the way. If anyone know beautiful doors in town, let me know. If you'd like to send me a picture, e-mail me at Yuri@ozakifineart.com.
